The standard was established to control the performance, manufacture, distribution, sale and installation of replacement brake pads.

Juratek’s range of brake pads is one of the largest in Europe, manufactured to strict quality standards and approved to ECE R90 (Regulation 90). We offer two distinct ranges in the Juratek friction programme, OEC1/1 standards and OEC2 premium range.

OEC1/1 offers outstanding performance and fade resistance.

OEC2 offers a high level of performance, stable with both speed and temperature, giving excellent resistance to pad wear over the full range of operating temperatures.

Launched in 2008, the OEC2 heavy duty pad has proved an instant success with our customers and on the race track with Team Oliver. Stuart Oliver won his 9th British Truck Racing Championship in 2009 on OEC2.

To illustrate the characteristics of the two ranges we tested them in comparison with premier OE grades fitted by BPW, DAF & Mercedes supplied by Federal Mogul, TMD & Honeywell Jurid; specifically Ferodo 4550, Beral 4550, Textar 3030, Textar 7400 & Jurid 539.
