Brake discs are manufactured to strict tolerances; therefore it is essential that any rust or other debris is removed from the wheel hub before installing replacement discs to avoid issues with their performance, safety, and longevity. Despite this, proper hub preparation is one of the most overlooked steps in brake servicing and replacements.
How They Work
Designed to work with a low-speed air impact wrench or power drill, the Juratek hub cleaning kit range includes 2 options to suit different needs:

A two-piece set including a large cleaning disc and holder

A five-piece kit which contains a small disc holder, 8mm socket, and five cleaning discs
These kits can be used on wheel hubs, wheel studs, or brake discs and drums to remove corrosion and contaminants. This process helps prepare the hub surface for proper installation, helping avoid the likelihood of radial disc run out that can cause brake judder, or uneven pad wear due to a misaligned disc.
